Alien Anneke

Alien Characters Series 1 Episode 11
By Neil A Hogan
Anneke was, well of course she was, an alien. An alien accountant to be precise.

She checked numbers every day. She made sure numbers were in the right order and said what they were supposed to say.

She was so good at numbers that she had even created a program for people on other worlds to use so that they could get their numbers right too.

But Alien Anneke didn't check the numbers that helped businesses run, like accountants you and I know.

Oh No!

Anneke checked the numbers that helped people run!

You see, Alien Anneke works on the numbers that help people vanish from one place and reappear at another place on her world.

She can scan a person, find out what their number is, then send a signal to change that number slightly, and it changes where that person is on the planet.

Actually, the number contains all sorts of calculations and symbols that it is so complicated it would take your entire life to write down the whole number. It's long because it contains absolutely every position of every atom of every molecule of every cell of every part of a person as well as calculations and symbols showing how those atoms, molecules and cells work with each other.

All over the planet these numbers are being scanned and changed. Millions of numbers created and recreated a second. People no longer use any transport when they can simple press a button on their wrist and move to a completely different part of the planet instantaneously.

But Alien Anneke didn't just check the numbers for the movement of people around the planet.

Oh No!
