Alien Christine was, well of course she was, an alien. An alien crystalline life form to be more precise.

Alien Christine lived in the city of Cristia in the country Cristalia on the planet Transperos.

Well, that’s what the alien translator said, anyway!

Alien Christine was a crystal maker, funnily enough. But she didn’t make just any old crystals.

Oh No!

Alien Christine made energy crystals.

Alien Christine created crystals that were used for lighting, building and even for powering flying mats!
And the best thing about her crystals was they were all sun-powered, so they never ran out of energy.

Her most popular were her light crystals. These looked like little stone balls until you waved your hand over them, and then they lit up, glowing bright enough to light a medium sized room. Well, a medium sized alien room. 

There was no need for power cables or electricity. Just put the crystal in a ready-made hole in the wall and the house was lit day and night. A bit of a shine and they would last for years.

Day and night, Alien Christine created crystals for the people of her planet. She used her own energy to imbue the crystals and activate them. And, while her government had huge departments devoted to crystal making, she was the ‘go to’ girl for all crystal activation.

She loved her job as every request was unique. Just last week she installed dream recording crystals in the beds of a research institute and even this morning she was overseeing the installation of crystals that could be used to navigate people’s bodies to find, locate and repair illnesses.

But something was about to happen to change everything.
